What to do if there are allergic reactions to eyelash lift?

Allergic reactions can vary in severity, from mild irritation to more severe symptoms. If the eyelash lift procedure is still ongoing when the allergic reaction occurs, immediately stop the process to prevent further exposure to the allergen. If possible, gently remove any remaining product from the person's eyelashes using a mild, hypoallergenic eye makeup remover. Be careful not to further irritate the eyes. If the allergic reaction is severe or is causing significant discomfort, such as redness, swelling, itching, or burning, it's important to seek immediate medical help. Allergic reactions can escalate quickly, so don't wait if symptoms are severe.

Pre-Orders

What is a pre-order, and how does it work?

A pre-order allows you to reserve a product before it's officially released or becomes available for purchase. By placing a pre-order, you secure your item in advance and will receive it shortly after the release date.

Why should I pre-order a product?

Pre-ordering ensures that you are the first in line to get the product as soon as it's available. Pre-orders and orders are always processed chronologically. Pre-orders are especially handy for highly demanded items, or products with limited availability. In some cases, it can also provide access to exclusive discounts that are only available while the product is on pre-order.

How do I place a pre-order?

To pre-order a product, visit our website or contact our customer support team. Instead of Add to Cart, you will see the note Pre-order on the buttons to add those products to your cart. Add them to your cart, and go to checkout like normal. Pre-orders also need to be paid upfront. Once the pre-order products are available in our warehouse, you will receive a notification that your order is shipped.

When will I receive my pre-ordered product?

The estimated release date or availability date for your pre-ordered product will be provided on the product page. Please note that release dates may be changed due to delays in the production and shipping process. We will however always inform you when a pre-order is delayed.

Can I cancel or modify my pre-order?

In most cases, you can cancel or modify your pre-order before the product leaves our warehouse. If the order is already processed, it’s not possible anymore to modify or cancel your order. However, please check our cancellation and modification policy for specific details.

Is there a deposit or payment required for pre-orders?

Yes, our pre-order requires payment upfront.

What happens if the release date changes?

If the release date of the product changes, we will update you with the new estimated date. You have the option to keep your pre-order or request a cancellation.

What if I pre-order multiple items with different release dates?

If you pre-order multiple items with varying release dates, your order is shipped after the final product arrives. The other stock will be reserved until the final product becomes available. If you wish to ship the items separately, please get in touch with our customer service.

Is there a limit to the number of pre-orders I can place?

In general, there is no limit to the number of pre-orders you can place. However, because of limited availability, we recommend confirming the quantities with our customer support team if you plan to place a large number of pre-orders.

Supercilium Brow Henna

What is henna?

The Latin name for henna is Lawsonia Inermis. It is a bush that grows in the north of Africa, the Middle East and India. Crushed into powder it is used to decorate the skin. Henna needs to develop for hours and leaves a red stain.

If you want to learn more about henna, you can read our blog post about henna.

Why is the Rosewater Fixing Lotion not on the website?

The Rosewater Fixing Lotion is replaced for the Eucalyptus Color Developer. You can use both products to mix the henna.

We always try to improve our products, and therefore we are always testing new formulas to see if it improves the results. This happened with the new Color Developer as well. Although we loved the Rosewater fixing lotion, we think this product is even better.

How long does Supercilium Brow Henna last?

The Supercilium Brow Henna stains up to 6 weeks on the hairs and up to 2 weeks on the skin. However this depends on your clients skin type and aftercare.

Does Supercilium Brow Henna contain PPD?

Yes. Almost all brow henna and other hair colorants contain a very small amount of PPD. Some people are sensitive to this ingredient and an allergic reaction can occur. That's why performing a patch test is necessary. PPD is a colorant, without this substance the color remains red and is unable to stain. The ingredient is necessary for the creation of henna brows.

When do you not use Supercilium Brow Henna on a client?

We advise not to apply Supercilium Brow Henna to a client if:

- They are pregnant or breastfeeding
- The skin is very oily and the henna quickly fades from the skin
- They already have very dark and full eyebrows
- The skin is irritated or wounded
- They are allergic or sensitive to eyebrow dye
- They have had allergic reactions after the application of a henna tattoo

Why do my eyebrows turn green/yellow/orange after applying the Supercilium Brow Henna?

GREEN/YELLOW:
If the paste is not oxidized, there is a chance the color will turn a light shade of green or yellow.

To prevent this, make sure that you let the paste sit for 5 minutes before you start applying the henna. This way the henna can oxidize and reach the right consistency.

If the henna turns out greenish after following these steps, this means that the henna is still oxidizing. The greenish outline will fade away after 30 to 60 minutes. It can also help to reapply it for 3 more minutes.

ORANGE:
If the henna turns orange on your client’s skin, this usually means your client used tanning products before the henna treatment. The chemicals of tanning products in combination with henna don't go well together. If the henna turns orange, there is not much the beautician can do to fix the results other than completely removing the henna from the clients’ skin.

What does the Supercilium Brow Henna process involve?

Here you can see a step-by-step video of the full Supercilium Brow Henna process.

Remember to always perform a patch test 48H before the treatment.

Step 1: Mixing ratio: one spoon of Supercilium Henna powder with 15 - 20 drops of Supercilium Color Developer.  Most beauticians use halve a scoop for one henna treatment. Stir well until a smooth substance is achieved. It’s important that the henna is not too runny, nor too thick.

Step 2: Use the Supercilium Prep Peel Gel to get rid of excess sebum, make-up buildup and dead skin cells to ensure the longevity of Brow Henna treatments. Apply one drop on each eyebrow, massage it gently into the brow for 15 seconds and carefully remove it with a cotton pad with Supercilium Pro Cleanser.

Step 3: Apply a layer of henna with an angled brush. Press/stamp the paint into the eyebrow until all skin is covered, back to front as well. Make sure to create sharp lines. Correct small mistakes using a cotton swab with Supercilium Color Corrector.

Step 4: Remove product at the inside of eyebrows after 3-5 minutes for an ombre effect, with a damp cotton pad. If still too light, reapply and leave on for another 3-5 minutes.

Step 5: Remove the rest of the henna after 10-20 minutes. If you want to correct or lighten the brow color, use the Supercilium Color Corrector again by gently wiping over recently painted brows with a cotton swab.

Aftercare:

Don’t clean henna-dyed brows for at least 12 hours after treatment. Use as little as possible of cleansing products. Oil-based skincare products and scrubs also will cause color to fade.

How do you choose the perfect Supercilium Brow Henna color for your client?

We’ve created 6 shades to make sure we have the perfect shade for different types of women. To learn all ins and out about choosing the right henna color, we wrote this blog.

Here you can find our Color Chart for Brow Henna.

Why do I need to perform a patch test?

Patch tests can help indicate if a client is allergic to the brow treatment. A patch test should be performed 48 hours before the brow treatment, even if your client previously used coloring products.

Steps:
1. Prepare the henna and apply a small dot on the inside of the elbow.
2. After 20 minutes, wash off with lukewarm water.
3. If you notice a reaction such as redness, itchiness or swelling during the processing time, rinse immediately and don’t use this product. If no reaction occurs within 48 hours, usage is safe.

Please note that an allergy test cannot predict future allergic reactions. Please consult a doctor if you have any doubts.

How much should I charge clients for Supercilium Brow Henna?

Costs vary by market, we recommend you research salons in your area and keep your price competitive.

What is the shelf life of the Supercilium Brow Henna?

Combining Supercilium Brow Henna and Brow Lamination

We don't recommend to do both treatments in one sitting. More often we see beauticians doing the treatments together, but we are not a big fan of this as doing both on the same day can be harsh on the skin and brow hairs.

If you however choose to combine the two treatments, we always recommend 48hrs between the 2 treatments. As for the steps: We recommend doing the Brow Lamination first and wait for 48hours before applying the henna onto the brows.

YES! But please make sure you do a patch test before the treatment. You can find all the information about the patch test over here.

Is henna good for sparse eyebrows?

YES! Everyone can use our Supercilium Brow Henna but make sure you do a patch test before the treatment. You can find more information about the patch test over here

What is the difference between henna, tint and microblading?

Microblading is more permanent than henna. It goes in to the skin with a needle (0.8 cm). Microblading is suitable for people with less hair on the brows to create a shape for a defined look.

Henna is semi-permanent treatment that stains the skin and brow hairs. Henna is suitable for people who want fuller brow looks.

Normal tint stains only the hairs, it can stay up to 2 days.
