Henna has been a staple in the beauty world for centuries, known for its natural coloring properties. On the other hand, Hybrid Brow Tint is a newer innovation, combining the best of traditional tinting methods with modern advancements. The biggest difference is that Brow henna has the most intense and strong stain. Liquid Dye with Keratin has the ability to stain and color the hair and at the same time nourish, protect, and revitalize the hair. The ultimate combination!
Henna is a natural dye made from the henna plant, while Hybrid Brow Tint is a blend of natural and synthetic ingredients designed for optimal results.
While henna has longer results, the processing times are also a bit longer. For Brow Henna treatments you usually need 20 minutes, while for hybrid dye 10 minutes is usually enough. The application of Brow Henna can also be messier since the mixture is more runny compared to Hybrid dye, which is more gel-ish. Hybrid Brow Tint offers a smoother application with quicker processing times. Henna therefore needs a bit more practice than Liquid Brow Dye.
Henna typically lasts up to 2 weeks on the skin and 4-6 weeks on hair. Hybrid Brow Tint, with its advanced formula, can last up to 11 days on the skin and 6 weeks on the hair.
At Supercilium we always offer the same colors to every product range, to make it easier for you to pick the right color. That being said, henna can leave a bit warmer undertones, while Liquid Dye with Keratin usually leaves a bit cooler undertone. All colors within the same range can be mixed and matched for every customer.
The longevity of Hybrid Lash Tint can be attributed to its unique formula. Unlike regular tints that simply coat the lashes, Hybrid Lash Tint penetrates the hair shaft, ensuring deeper color deposition. Additionally, the blend of nourishing ingredients in Hybrid Tint protects the brows, preventing premature fading.
Liquid dye with Keratin is by far the quickest treatment in the market. Lasting only from 5 to 20 minutes of developing time. However, for most clients, 10 minutes is enough. It works best if you apply thin layers to build up the color.
Choosing the right shade is crucial for a natural and flattering brow look. Here are some tips to find the perfect shade for your client:
Analyze the base color of the skin & hair:
Look at the natural brow color and their skin tone. It’s best to pick a shade that is close to their natural brow color. When going too much off the natural brow color and their skin tone, the brow looks will look really unnatural.
If your client has dark brows, opt for a shade that’s a maximum of one shade darker or roughly the same color to get the most natural result. If your clients has light brows, choose a shade that's a maximum of one shade darker.
Consider the skin tone:
Warm skin tones might prefer shades with a reddish or golden undertone, while cool skin tones might lean towards ashier shades. You can make a shade warmer by mixing it with a dash of Auburn in the mix. To make it cooler you can add some Ash Blond in the mix.
Test before applying:
Always do a patch test to see how the color develops on the skin and hair. This will give you a clearer idea of the end result. We also always advise working with the ombre technique for the most natural outcome. This also gives you the opportunity to see how the dye develops on the skin and brow hairs, since you can remove the front part already after 2-3 minutes.
