Brow treatments: Do you take your time or keep it quick?

07.10.2024 - Luiza De Andrade e Silva Silveira

Let’s be real, every Brow Artist has their own pace. Some love to turn brow treatments into a mini spa day, pampering their clients for as long as they’ll let them. For others? It’s about efficiency—get in, get those brows perfect, and get the next client in the chair. Whether you’re taking your time or you’ve mastered the art of speed, there’s no wrong way to do brows! In this post, we’re gonna talk about both approaches, what products are the best for each and share some fun stories from other pros in the industry. Which one are you? Keep reading!

Why should you know your style and pace?

Knowing your style is refining your approach as a Brow Artist. Whether you enjoy taking your time, giving clients a more relaxed experience and chatting a lot, or you’re all about efficiency and getting the job done quickly, understanding your pace has its benefits.

It’s not just about how you work; it’s about who you attract. Clients who want to relax and enjoy the process will naturally gravitate toward someone who takes their time, while those on a schedule will appreciate a quicker, streamlined service. By defining your approach, you’ll attract the right clients who value what you offer.

It also helps with time management and workflow. When you embrace your style, you can better plan your appointments and ensure your clients know exactly what to expect from their brow session. It’s about finding the balance that works for you and your business.

The benefits of each approach

Let’s dive into the perks of each, so you can see how your approach might be shaping your success.

1. Taking your time

If you’re the kind of Brow Artist who enjoys taking your time, chances are you’re all about the details. You’re a perfectionist, and that shows in your work. You probably love offering your clients a full experience, whether it’s pairing treatments like Liquid Dye with Lamination, waxing for that complete transformation, or just creating a relaxing, spa-like vibe. For you, it’s about more than just shaping brows—it’s about giving your clients the time and attention they deserve.

Building a relationship with your clients is also a big part of why you enjoy this approach. The extra time you spend chatting, getting to know them, and even hanging out after the treatment for a quick photo session adds that personal touch. And let’s be honest, some of the funniest, most memorable moments happen when you take your time!

Your method might take a little longer, but you know it’s worth it. Here are a few products that align perfectly with your detailed approach.

1. Liquid Dye + Lamination

For the perfectionist who loves to create a full transformation, pairing Liquid Dye with Brow Lamination is your go-to combo. Sure, it takes a bit more time since you’re handling two treatments in one, but the results are stunning. Clients leave your chair with brows that are fuller, more defined, and beautifully laminated. While it’s not the fastest process, the payoff is worth every extra minute. Read how to combine the two treatments here.

Applying the elixir after the treatment adds that final touch of luxury, leaving brows healthy, hydrated, and glowing.

We asked our brow community to share some funny stories with us! So, what did they say?

Jenniree: A sauna confession

Meet Jenniree, who teaches our Airbrush course, who had one of those moments every Brow Artist can relate to. One of her regular clients came in to get her brows done for a sauna date. She also requested a quick upper lip wax, which Jenniree accidentally forgot about until her client blurted out, "Omg, I still treasure my upper lip, because if I go to the sauna tonight to perform sexual acts downstairs, he doesn’t need to feel stubble.

Awkward, right? To make things even funnier, a new client in the waiting area overheard everything! Let’s just say, that moment stuck with her. And this wouldn’t have happened if the client was not comfortable to share it with her.

Nicole: A sleepy client

Nicole, who worked with us at the Rotterdam Eyebrow Festival, had her own funny moment during a treatment. She shared, "One of my clients fell asleep during the session, and I didn’t notice. She started talking in her sleep, and I tried to keep up with the conversation, even though nothing made sense! Then, when I went to wax, she freaked out and screamed like something terrible was happening.

Turns out, the client had no idea she’d fallen asleep! Once she realized, the two of them burst into laughter and couldn’t stop for 10 minutes straight.

Why clients love the extra attention

For many clients, these kinds of sessions are more than just brow maintenance—they’re a chance to relax and feel taken care of. They come to you not only for your skills but for that personal connection.
